Discipline Today, Freedom Tomorrow
آج کا نظم، کل کی آزادی
Discipline today creates freedom tomorrow. Many people think discipline limits life, but in reality, it protects life from chaos. A person without discipline becomes dependent on moods, distractions, desires, and excuses.
Discipline is not harshness. It is the ability to choose what is right even when it is difficult. The student who studies regularly becomes free from last-minute fear. The person who controls spending becomes free from unnecessary stress. The person who controls anger becomes free from regret.
In Islamic ethics, self-control is a sign of strength. A person who cannot control himself may appear free, but inwardly he is ruled by impulse.
True freedom is not doing whatever we want. True freedom is having enough control that our desires do not control us.
Reflection question: What small discipline can I practice today?
