Truth does not always win by majority. Many people judge ideas by the number of people who support them. But history shows that truth has often stood with the few while falsehood stood with the powerful.

Karbala is one of the clearest moral examples of this principle. On one side there was authority, force, and worldly power. On the other side stood Imam Hussainؑ and his companions with dignity, patience, and truth. The lesson is not only emotional. It is intellectual and ethical.

The Qur’an says: “If you obey most of those on earth, they will lead you away from the path of Allah.” Surah Al-An’am 6:116. Majority can be useful in social matters, but it is not the final measure of truth.

A person of conscience asks for evidence, justice, and moral clarity.

Reflection question: If truth stood alone, would I still stand with it?

حق ہمیشہ اکثریت سے نہیں جیتتا۔ بہت سے لوگ کسی بات کو اس بنیاد پر درست سمجھتے ہیں کہ زیادہ لوگ اسے مانتے ہیں۔ مگر تاریخ بتاتی ہے کہ کئی بار حق کم لوگوں کے ساتھ کھڑا تھا اور باطل طاقت کے ساتھ۔

کربلا اس اصول کی روشن مثال ہے۔ ایک طرف اقتدار، طاقت اور دنیاوی اثر تھا، دوسری طرف امام حسینؑ اور ان کے ساتھی عزت، صبر اور حق کے ساتھ کھڑے تھے۔ یہ سبق صرف جذباتی نہیں، فکری اور اخلاقی بھی ہے۔

قرآن فرماتا ہے: “اگر تم زمین والوں کی اکثریت کی پیروی کرو گے تو وہ تمہیں اللہ کے راستے سے بھٹکا دیں گے۔” سورۃ الانعام 6:116۔

صاحبِ ضمیر انسان تعداد نہیں، دلیل، عدل اور حق کو دیکھتا ہے۔

سوال: اگر حق تنہا کھڑا ہو تو کیا میں اس کے ساتھ کھڑا رہوں گا؟
